Newbie has questions, opinions on options!

Hey everyone!
I am new to this forum and new to Infiniti G35s as well! I've been wanting one for over 4 months and finally put down a deposit for a 2005 6MT to be ordered on friday! The order was sent today and my G-ride should be here around May 5th. I have a question for any-and-all enthusiasts.. what are your thoughts on the body side moldings? I thought they might add a little style and protection to the car, but now I'm not sure. I have had trouble finding pictures of G's with them! Anyone got any?

Heres what I'll be getting:
Athens Blue
Premium Pkg.
Aerodynamics Pkg. (w/ spoiler)

Also, anyone know if it's better to get an aftermarket sirius or is the infiniti one good enough?

I opted out of the nav system.. thought aftermarket would be cheaper and more state-o-tha-art!

Thanks! Any reply/opinion would be appreciated!!
J.

I think those were on the early 04 model's and maybe 03.5, you won't see to many on a late edition 04. I know a few people that have em I'll see if I can find a picture or two. Aftermarket NAV is deffinately cheaper, www.digitalwheelz.com , just one way there are many more. Also go with factory sat. radio its built in.

athens blue, good color choice! side moldings are really personal preference - if you like the looks or not. i've heard that they are placed too low on the doors to offer much protection from door dings anyway.

personally, i dont like the look of side moldings and do not have them on my red 6MT coupe.

Great color choice. Haven't seen any in person yet.

IMHO, if you want NAV you should get the Infiniti one....it's pretty good, and you can't beat the built in abilities (such as being motorized)....well, yet.

If you want Sat radio, I would def get the Infiniti one as well....it's going to make your life easier

*edit* oh yeah, side moldings.....it's only a style thing, as they won't protect us from most cars (unless its another G or maybe a Z, lol).

Thanks!

Thanks everyone!
I went ahead and got the side moldings, with ram air vents it should look pretty sweet. I'll post pics when it gets here (tentatively May 5th.. counting the hours..) I opted on the nav system, but went ahead and got the sirius satellite.

Also, does anyone know where I can look at/get an aftermarket nav system installed in the DFW area, or do most people "do it themselves".

Thanks again!
