I have a 2007 G35 coupe.

For the last several months every time I get in my car and close the driver's side door, the car will beep as if I just tried to lock the door with the smartkey inside. This will happen even if the car is turned on.

However, if both doors are open and I close the driver's side door first and then the passenger's door, there is no beeping.

I took it to the dealership and they had no clue. They had never seen or heard of this issue before. They asked me to leave the car there, which I did. They couldn't pinpoint what was the root of the problem and wanted me to leave the car longer but I chose not to because they were charging me per day.

Anyone have any suggestions?
