Need help with the name of a couple of sensors.
Need help with the name of a couple of sensors.
Hey all,
So on Saturday while driving home from my parents house, my 2005 G35 Coupe died on me out of no where. No spudder or noises, just died. Upon inspection I found that the belt that connects to my A/C had broken and the other belt was severely frayed. The SLIP & VDC OFF light are now on when the key is turned to ACC but no CEL. While on the side of the freeway I attempted to restart my car and could get it to crank, but not turn over.
I decided to go ahead and replace the belts and while doing so noticed the wire to the connector to the green sensor was nearly severed. I fixed it and made sure there was a full connection and so on, so I don't think that it has to do with a faulty repair.
I'm still having the issue and couldn't find any other wires that were damaged when the belt broke.
I've read it could be the camshaft position sensor, but it just seems like too much of a coincidence that it failed at the same time my belt broke.
Anyway, I've circled the sensors below that I can't seem to find the name of and the left (green) connector was the one with the damaged wire.
