Considerations for next upgrades-- 05' MT Coupe

Hi all,

So far I've done a few things:

1. Cleared Corner / Sidemarker Lights
2. Installed LED Bulbs on said lights, as well as license plate
3. Interior LED Kit (OPT7)
4. RJM Adjustable Clutch Pedal

I've got a few ideas but these are what I'm looking at:

- Stillen Intake / Z-Tube (It's expensive though.. https://www.stillen.com/stillen-2003...initi-g35.html)

- Fresh Motul/StopTech fluid for the clutch/brake system

- Throttle body air idle and ecm resets??

- Intake Gasket?

- Oil Catch Can (DIY)?

- Swap out lower intake manifold with a non-revup version (or an MREV2) and combine with a motordyne spacer..?

- Muffler Delete w/ custom Y Tube?

Or maybe somebody has a better idea for a nice upgrade? The cheaper the better?

Thanks all!!

Do you have the old school reflector headlights? If so I would look into getting some 06+ projector OEM headlights. They make the G35 look much much more classier and modern.

I just picked some up and will be installing them on my 05 Coupe this weekend

It's not the cheapest mod though...

Lower plenum swap and spacer
Don't do a muffler delete...save for a full system.

Stillen's intake is nice but all you need is a z-tube to change the sound and a K&N drop in filter. Intakes don't offer any whp increase! No real advantage to after market brake/clutch fluid just follow Nissan's recommendation of replacing fluids every 30K miles. Motordynes 5/16" spacer/lower manifold have and always will be a great addition adding several whp! Catch can is a great idea! Please don't consider muffler delete, that a low class ghetto mod. Better idea is a full Exotice Speed exhaust system and Fast Intention high flow cats. Once that is completed you can get a tune, gain 25 whp and 18 to 20 lbs torque!

But actually not, if OP wants the most out of his mods then he will replace it.

If you have no desire to spend another $5-600 for a mandatory tune needed after any performance parts then just mod your car for looks. Your car will be slower with breather mods so do your research see where a shop can tune your car locally then decide what mods to get

Freshen up your suspension if you haven't done so and approaching 100k miles.

Serpentine belt idler pulley delete:

https://www.z1motorsports.com/fan-ac...it-p-5640.html

Save a pound or two of rotational weight and about 3.5 pounds of total weight from the car. Things like this help the car rev a bit quicker, although you won't feel a noticeable difference just from this mod alone, but it's practically a free upgrade if you plan on changing your belt anyways and were already going to buy a new one.
