I gotta feeling that the entire door from the hinge is rattling on its
pivot point, not the door lid rattling against the cabinet opening. I'll
take a look more over the weekend.

My '03 Coupe has been very impressive:

-- minor window grease streaks.......Like Mooser, I'll leave it alone. no biggie.
-- slight movement (loose) driver's seat......If it worsens, it'll be fixed.
-- gas gauge sometimes doesn't read quite full.....dealer can fix easily

no one mentioned having any problems with the gas tank filling up only a couple of gallons before it stops
-i just had this problem a while ago and yesterday. I managed to get 10 gallons in there before I called it quits because I had to hold the pump with only slight pressure on the handle in order for it to pump. Anyone have this fixed by the dealer and what is involved in fixing it?
-moonroof squeaks on ramps/driveways (fixed)
-window grease streaks (not fixing)
-blemish on rear leather seats (replaced)

that is it

Im assuming that you tried different pump and gas stations?
Some station's pump nozzles are damaged at the tip (flattened out a little bit)
causing it to think the tank is full.

(Sedan owner)

17 months and 17,000 miles:

• Passenger front window, loose regulator – warrantied

• Squeak from passenger and driver A & B pillars – TSB applied (Riverside "fixed". Problem reappeared and Tustin resolved)

• Sunroof came off track - warranty (F'n Riverside Infiniti CA kept car for almost 3 weeks, never fixed, never ordered the parts twice! - after 6 mos, took it to Tustin and they fixed in 3 days!)

• Brakes replaced at 15k (TSB)

• Trunk lid was not aligned, rubbing into my rear factory installed Aero bumper (Riverside warrantied it with a lot of attitude)

• Can't get this stupid grin off my face when driving.

Cheers,
-Ted

The gas issue is because of the design on the inlet pipe for our tanks. When a gas station (costco is the most notorious) changes their filters, they get a high flow rate that cause back pressure from our inlet pipe. Costco constantly changes their filters at the pump to maintain a flow of 6 gpm. Other gas stations do not change as often, that's why it is inconsistent problem with other stations.

One work around is to flip the gas pump handle 180 degrees (upside down) and you will get a full tank... HOWEVER, you are defeating the pressure sensor and an overflow situation is likely to occur if you do not watch how much you are pumping.

Cheers, Ted
