Got my car fixed but with some issues to deal with. Need help/susggestions

I made a topic here in December about my 07 coupe (45k miles) getting in an accident. Just got it back today. Paid 5k and by looking at it it doesn't look like its been in an accident before. However theres some issues.

1. Gas Guage not working properly, shows empty. Went to the gas station and put in 20$ (6.7 gallons) and its stll pointing down and left of the E.
2. VDC and slip light came on during driving without pressing the VDC button.

Also Also anyone know how much it would cost to get the driver side curtain airbag installed?? It deployed during the accident and the shop had to remove the stock one. (This has obviously caused the airbag light on the dash to come on)

Thanks for your help

#2 sounds like the famous camshaft position sensor failure. Check out the replacement thread. Not sure on cost of replacement of the airbag I would just ask the body shop.

Gas gauge issue sounds electrical? Idk.

The body shop mechanic said its very likely the float. Although on Youtube I seen a video where the guy removed the cover for the dials/gauges, and with a screwdriver moved the needle in the gas gauge to the proper position before the G35 is started which is directly at the E,at thefirst line, and not pointing directly down and way left of the E like it is atm in my car

I've read in other posts that people have used a strong magnet to get the gas gauge needle back in place. I would give that a shot before ripping your dash apart.

You can put the cluster into a self diagnostic mode to verify it's working properly.

Wow the magnet trick worked!! And it only costed me a few bucks buying it from Home Depot.

Now another issue is the check engine light came on. Car has 45k miles
