P0327 Pending Knock Sensor Code (no CEL)
#16
Ok Engine Link is pretty much junk and a waste of money. I tried another one called Car Scanner for iPhone and I can view freeze frame data which show the P0327 code @ 100 degrees F and RPM of 1,400. Got to reading some stuff for the ELM327. Commands and what not. I didn't really understand how to initialize but thankfully the Car Scanner app does that and has a terminal. it send to send code 03 to see what codes and send 04 to erase any stored codes and freeze frame data. So I did that and ran the car for about 10 mins and it hasn't come back. I just wish it could so me the ABS stuff.

I have confirmed that my P0327 code only pops up in open loop at a cold or barely warm start. If i run the car, get it hot, stop, turn the engine off, clear DTC's and then start it back up, drive for a while, it doesn't pop up. I've seen this in freeze frame data only while using the ISO 9141-2 protocol. Nissan Consult II protocol is still experimental, but shows the DTC as a DTC and not freeze frame data. However it cant read any sensors. So, I'll stick with protocol ISO 9141-2 using Car Scanner app for iPhone and a wifi ELM327 because it works more like it is supposed to. I guess i don't really need to mess with this since it isn't really affecting anything. Hopefully things don't get worse.

Hi everyone, looking for some help with my G35 coupe. I have no CEL but there is a pending Knock Sensor code (P0327). Car runs fine, no problems with gas mileage. No other codes. I cleared the code and in comes back almost immediately upon starting the car, again as a pending code. What is going on? Is there really a problem with the knock sensor and/or harness? Is there another problem?

I'm dealing with this EXACT issue and it's annoying. I've torn down the car three times so far to no avail. Found out the harness was sitting on my manifold and melted it so I cut out the melted part and spliced it. Nothing. Same code. Now I'm getting a p0300 code and I'm hoping it's because of this sensor. Now to get a new harness and new sensor and be done with this. Question though, is it alright to use a airtek sensor or is this one oem only?
