Height of door dings w/o BSM?
I was just wondering how high up on the door have people been seeing their dings. Almost everyone who have discussed it here think that the BSM (body side moldings) are mounted too low to be effective in preventing them. But, I think we need to compare how high those without BSM have been getting dinged with the actual BSM mounting height to know for sure. Any replies will be appreciated.

Re: Height of door dings w/o BSM?
Well, dings come at all heights because of different types of doors. You have the 4-door sedans with the pointy part that's up by the door handle then the whole variation of front doors with their own height of ding guards and protrusion points. That's why I've thought about a 4-6" wide strip of the thin clear bra material but think I'm being REALLY **** so have been trying to forget about the idea !! Of the three dings I have on my existing car; 28", 25.5" and 25". The molding is 18-20" high and is placed where the door bows out the most so think it's mostly to protect my door when opening more than protection from others. For me, I think the white coupe doors need a break in the line so will get BSM but not so for all coupe colors. That being the case, I'll take whatever protection I can get. ...dean
