Spoilerdeopt rear spoiler
I've rcieved my rear spoiler from spoilerdepot last week (it has been raining a lot here in So. Cal., so couldn't install it then). I was wondering if there are any other members out there that know how to prep my trunk for the install. The spoiler uses 3M adheisve tape.

I was amazed on how well the 3M tape held. I added more because I feared it would fly off on the freeway but there is no way this thing will come off.
I hope this helps.

perfect. It looks really good. my only advice is to PLEASE prep the site as well as possible so you dont have the mounting headache I did. I washed it thoroughly and it wasnt enough...the tape, (although sticky as a mother) will not stick if there is any wax on it whatsoever.
Get a good wax stripper and bug and tar remover and clean the site well. Use a clay bar to remove any contaminants, and then clean thoroughly. Then rub the site down with rubbing alcohol. Put the spoiler on, pressing HARD and holding for at least a minute, then DO NOT wet it at all for at least 48 hours. (rain or car wash) Water will soak into the foam of the tape and cause it to release if you wet it prematurely.
The tape needs at least two heating up and cooling down cycles to permanently bond. Keep rechecking at day and at night to ensure the bond. After that, good luck getting it off. Seriously, you could lift the car by this stuff. haha
Wax the trunk lid and spoiler asap then enjoy.
