Recently just made an account, and wanted to ask a question. I have a 2005 4 dr g35 that I bought with 165k on it and I just crossed 205k today and I was just wondering what could I reasonably expect out of this car before I have to make a major repair? Really love the car and will probably replace it with another one when it dies.

I guess that depends on what you mean by 'major repair'.

At 200k I'd imagine, some, if not all suspension and steering components are worn and sloppy. Would you consider replacing struts, shocks, ball joints, etc. as major repair?

As Gary pointed out, as long as you keep on top of regular maintenance and stay pro-active when you do notice problems, we very well may see you again at 300k.
