I ordered an engine cover for my 05 coupe and it said mounting bolts are not included. first of all i don't even know what mounting bolts are and second will those be all i need to install the cover?

 

They are just standard nuts that screw onto bolts coming out of the top of the engine. There are 4 of them on G35's. I'm not sure what the size or thread pitch is, but you should be able to pick them up at any hardware store if you can find that info out.

All you should need to install these are a ratchet and the right size socket for the bolt. I can't recall if you need a deep set socket or not.

 

unless you took the bolts out they should still be there. they use a 10mm cap nut to install onto the bolts

 

All you need is 10mm socket, socket wrench, 2 10mm screws, and 2 10mm nuts...

You can just use your nuts since they fit and your not using them 😂😂😂😂

I can't believe someone responded. You're saints haha. Get a fsm and learn how to read exploded diagrams. And you'll know every torque spec to every fastener in the vehicle.
