Potential G35 Coupe Buyer. Please help&advices.
Iam deciding between S2000 and G35 Coupe. (both white)
I wanted some feedback from actual G35 Coupe owners.
I've done some research and found out some few interesting things.
Reliability of the car is questionable, and I heard gas mileage is horrible.
MPG shows S2000 and G35 is similar (I4 vs v6), which is impressive for G35..
V6 tend to suck up more gas usually, but I was surprised to see the rating.
however, hearing from actual G35 owners, I guess nissan lied the ratings?
Can anyone verify this fact? and also any comments on reliability? Issues & problems with the car?
Also, how much did you guys pay for it?
I picture my G35 with the followings
05 White G35 Coupe 6-spd w/ Premium package
Sport tuned suspension package might be an option, but does that lower the car at all?
Is it worth it? or am i better off with aftermarket suspension setups?
I am not going to mod my next car, im off from tuning scene.
however, I at least one proper drop with nice 18s or 19s. Thats all I need.
I thought maybe genuine OEM sport suspension is suitable for my case.
but thats only if it properly lowers the suspension for good looks and improved handling.
Thanks for reading, and I'll look forward for your advices.

the sport tuned suspension package is standard on all 05 6MT's, option on 05 MT's. i payed about $37k for my car, but i have more options than you want. use Edmunds.com and build your car. i automatically saved $400 because of that. it's hard to get a good price right now since it's so new.

IMO, these 2 cars aren't even in the same category........can you live with 2 seats? Do you like to stay high in the RPMS to get around town modestly?
Nissan didn't lie about MPG, they don't post the numbers....personally I get on average 18mpg and I usually get on the gas a lot, and only drive on the highway once a week (20 miles round trip).
If you ask me, get a s2000, one less person driving my car....

If its worth it or not is not a question for prospective MT owners, but a question for prospective AT buyers. The ride is a bit stiffer, but again if you want 6MT, you have no choice but to switch it out to something smoother or smaller rims. If you into dropping your car, then I wouldn't imagine anything else being much softer. I think the sports tuned suspension handles great and I personally won't be adding any after market stuff to my car but tint. The stock 19s make the car look perfect. There is a tiny gap in the front, but not worth spending a couple G'z to get rid of while having the same stability the stock suspension gives now.
I notice you said you did your research...but let me suggest one more place where you should start you research...

Goodluck abd heres a pic so you can see th stock ride height.

two different cars, i test drove a s2k and loved it, but i then realized how much more i love the G, of course the s2000 is more fun to drive being a sporty convertible, but i think the Gi s both more conservative and just better in the long run, and faster =) . i love my G, but don't be suprised if i pick up a used s2000 before summetime. its all about your personal preference is you want the sporty look go with the s2000 if you want luxury/performance go with the G.

i'm sorry. just a stupid typo. i meant that the sport tuned suspension package comes standard on the manual 05 coupes and it's an option on the automatic model. yes i payed about $37-38 can't remember exactly. it was about $41 out the door. i had to pay $400 extra cuz the only they could find had Premium, Aero Kit w/ spoiler and XM radio. i wanted the same, but minus the XM radio. Edmunds automatically took off about $400 from the MSRP. i wanted a Clear Bra too, which was $695 so they agreed to throw that in for free.

oh no... beaverton dealerships are BS. I gotta have all the information prepared before I go.. because they usually say alot of BS if customer acts like they don't know alot. If customer does act like they know alot about it, then they usually don't say much, and go straight into price dealing which is what I want...
Where is Grubbs Infiniti? I see that you are "almost" local, as you are located in WA..
