Injen rubber mounts
Injen rubber mounts
Hi all, greetings from Australia.
I recently acquired an Injen long ram cold air intake for my 2003 V35 Skyline coupe (Infiniti G35). The intake came from a wreck and they did not supply the rubber vibration absorbing mounts (there should be two- one mounts to the side of the engine, the other to the air con if you are using it as a long-ram intake). I only plan to use it as a short term intake anyway.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any easy fix solutions to mount the intake if the previous owner is unable to find the rubber mounts? Keep in mind, Im not the most mechanically minded person. I was going to contact injen, but the shipping costs to Australia are not particularly economical. Anyone used any makeshift alternatives?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

PA you might want to consider leaving it as the longer set-up. When you set it up as a short ram the filter sits in the engine bay sucking in all that super hot motor air which is detrimental to performance. The ram-air set up will at least suck in air from away the engine bay theoretically giving you a bump in performance.
