unboxing Motordyne TDX2 exhaust for the g35 coupe.

So given the black-friday deals i picked one up.

I have art-pipes installed already and a 5/16 copper spacer that i need to install.

The Good:

-Great isolated packaging, super think material they use.
-Great build quality welds, ect.. what you would expect.

Went to go pick it op at the dealer so i was wondering if i could fit this in my car (g35coupe)
it will not fit!

Just putting out the dimensions for anyone interested as i was
dimensions. This BOX barely fit in my roommates 4 door sedan. Had to put it sideways going in from the back door across the passenger. Pretty much blocked my window view.

The bad:

-customer service. I left an email about over 2 weeks ago, asking questions. nothing back yet.

-The site is never updated. says parts are "not in stock" but i call and they are.
same with "authorized motordyne dealers" there are many that are but the site is not updated.

I just want say that if i didn't spend almost 2k on this brand this new exhaust (or anything worth that much) I wouldn't be complaining about-
-costumer service.

-Damage on the exhaust.

This damage looks worse then it really is, if you ran your ran nail-across these you can feel a how deep these scratches are.

I would prefer this damage to be on another part other then the damn main show pieces! The Y-pipe is mint! lol

those little rashes are on other parts of the exhaust too.

most pieces are mint, without damage.

If this was a $800 exhaust i wouldn't be complaining but, i was wasn't expecting this.

I have yet to install it maybe soon, but it will fit inside the trunk, all parts unboxed.

Interesting. Hopefully some metal polish will buff out most of those scratches.

I doubt I could remove the main nail-deep scratch by hand. I could probably fit 3 hairs or more in it. The rash maybe.
I am sure anyone with a show-car wouldn't have appreciated the damage even more.

Here is something i could not find online, before my purchase. The install instructions, also warranty information.

They offer a great warranty.....unless you live in the midwest were it snows and streets get salted then its invalid for that reason.

I have a question though, would a scratch that deep promote rusting???

Amen Frankie, OP you must be a super **** SOB lolol. I get that you spent big $$$ on a quality piece but who gives a rat's azz it's got a few scratches on it when the first time it rains that shiny new toy won't be shiny at all....................

Congrats on my favorite exhaust set up for the coupe. My favorite sedan exhaust is the Motordyne VQ, sex on wheels....

haha, yea i know guys.

So this is an unbelievable exhaust.

worth every penny.

Before making my purchase I have watched every youtube video of the TDX over and over.

No justice.

I am excited to install my 5/16 copper spacer, to give it that little extra power/sound.

so happy Motordyne-everything.

I have it all except the sway-bars which i am still thinking about.

installed combo

-Pop-charger with Stillen-airbox
-Z-tube
-Art-pipesV3
-TDX2

Motordyne 5/16 iso copper to be installed later this week.

Sway bars are a must add, no question. Said it before a lot, if I went back and could do one and only one mod to my G, it would be sway bars. Best bang for the buck and completely changes the handling dynamics of the car. Adds a sh!tton of "fun" to the driving experience................
