Hey everyone. So my G coupe does some weird things with the moon-roof. When I press the rocker switch to close it, the roof does not close, but will go in to ventilation position and sounds very weak. When I press the switch back, it opens bout about half way, maybe a little more, and stops. I don't think its right. But this is my first G35 coupe so I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated.


I do have a video on my cellphone - but I am at work so I am using my desktop to post the thread. If anyone wants to see the video just let me know and I will get it to you.

the video will help. Sounds like you've got a motor going out but I have no clue where the sunroof gets it's power.

Did you try cleaning the tracks on your roof and lubing them?

 

I have a similar problem, Just that my moonroof won't open at all.

 

Turns out it appears my moonroof motor was replaced, but was never given the proper programming to set the timing. My friend pulled it out and was able to teach it the proper settings and it works perfectly now.
