I have a 2003 G35 base that the engine just toasted, it spins, has no compression, warped heads etc from over heating. I also have a 2007 Nissan Maxima that runs great with a good transmission, computer etc but has body damage.

How hard is it to swap the Maxima engine into the G35? Do I need to use the Maxima's computer and transmission? How much wiring harness modifications are needed?

One other question, is there an issue between the keys? the Maxima has one of those $400 computer keys.

 

The maxima engine will not work in the G35
The maxima has engine mounts point to place it transverse in the engine bay, the G35 has mount points for longitudinal positioning.

 

Good luck trying to convert a rear wheel drive car into a front wheel drive nightmare..............
