This really is a special car!
Second owner of an 06 sedan with the original rev up that i treated like **** since the day of purchase and didn’t think it’d last much longer after I got it and was prepared to throw a new motor in it after it gave out but here we are 70k miles later and she drives like new minus the new and obnoxious lifter tick. Hoping to make it to 300k before having to worry about anything and I’ll be beyond happy with a car I paid 2500$ for a few years back. She drinks oil like no tomorrow but that came standard. Very very pleased even though she’s heavy and a time bomb.

That's gotta be worth a lotta dough, both invested in and market value. No HFC/test pipes? With double turbos I imagine you aren't lacking for power.

Good to hear lifter tick isn't an engine-killer over medium/long term. Got my 2005 G35 5AT at 119k from some idiot (bought used tires, exhaust with holes in it, etc), first owner had the car from new to 110k or so. This idiot did a whole lot of damage in 9k miles, including the entire transmission...still ticking strong with 140k on the car and 10k on the transmission, though.

Still. Glad that tick isn't going to detonate my engine before I can fix it. Of course, now that I said it...

Original owner here....'03.5 automatic with all options. Bought new 4/03 (15 years old!). Daily driver, just past 97K miles.

Car is in great shape inside and out. Everything still works as new, even Bose too! Only one window motor replaced, radiator last year, still has original spark plugs, engine runs strong, & burns no oil!

Lots of tires and brakes though!

Have been considering replacing it with a new Corvette (since 2014), but G is just too much fun and too reliable to part with!!!!.

Wow sounds like the G has been good to you, and don't get me wrong I love my G like it's my own flesh and blood. But it'd be gone in a heartbeat for even a base model C7 vette so kudos to you I guess on being a true enthusiast

What a great testament to how awesome the G can be. I'd change those plugs though soon and be ready to replace shocks/struts and a ton of suspension bushings if you put many more miles on the G. And I too after 145K miles had an itch for something else but I scratched it. Bought a like new 06 GTO a couple of years ago with 27K miles on the clock. Gave the G to my girlfriend as a Christmas present so I got to keep her (the car of course lol) in the family to drive when I missed her. Best of both worlds.
