Clicking from the tranny when I clutch in

When I'm in traffic and I'm staying in first gear, and I clutch in to put my G on neutral, there's a clicking coming from my tranny. Is that normal?

Re: Clicking from the tranny when I clutch in

1) How many miles on your G?
2) Does the clicking happen when the shifter is still in 1st, or once you move to neutral there is a click?
The reason i ask this is because it might be just the notchy-ness of the new gearbox.
Almost 1400 miles on mine now and it feels ALOT smoother when shifting

Re: Clicking from the tranny when I clutch in

The clicking occurs when it's still in first and I don't need to upshift during stop and go traffic, I just clutch in and leave the shifter in first gear position. I have about 2,200 miles on it. Sometimes the the click is really loud too.i hope the tranny isn't messed up. When i shift out of first the clicking isn't present. Is that normal?

I think it gets hot in there and parts get a little loose. Happens to mine all the time so I wouldnt worry about it. But if you are really worried then you might want to have it checked out. Good Luck
