I just bought an 03' g35 coupe. A couple of nights ago my sunroof window shattered and I've been looking everywhere for instructions on how to replace the sunroof. I cant seem to find that info anywhere.

So my question is does anyone here know what it takes to replace the window? And Im just talking about the window and not the whole window/rail component. I just want to see if it's something I can do or if I will have to pay someone else to do it.

You could search the forum as it's been discussed or follow this link to your specific factory service manual (FSM). Find the proper section and it will detail the procedure. I know it's not a simple DIY job and can be done at home but don't know where else to send you to research. GL................

I'm pretty sure I've seen a thread that documents how to get to the whole sun roof assembly. I think it was related to the bolts holding the assembly in place coming loose and causing a clunk/banging sound when turning. Involves removing the headliner, then the assembly is pretty straight forward from there.

 

are you local. . .I have a complete sunroof including gasket rubber, rails, glass, shade, everything. i would sell waaaay cheap if it helps youout?

 

if its just the window that shatter its easy. should be two torx screw on each side. remove them and glass should or what left of the "glass assembly" should come of which should be two plastic bars that are attached to glass panel.
