Hit and Run

So I just found out that someone hit my rear end and didn't leave a note or anything????

Its not huge, but it spidered the paint and left a nice 14 inch scrape on the bumper.

If I file insurance claim do you think I could get away with getting the car resprayed lol?

It's a 2007 so it would be next to impossible to match the car.

I think these days they could paint match a car even if the paint is old. So they take the original paint code and then mix it so it matches the aged paint. Not certain for sure, but I know they can pretty much match any paint.

You should be able to use the same bumper. (It's kind of hard to say without seeing a picture of it.)

I know with my car it looks like they didn't add much flex to the paint. So when it bends it spiderwebs the paint.

I would take it to a body shop and have them completely strip it and fix it up real nice for you. My body shop charges $150 per bumper. I hope this helps.

Hit & Run, likely a Liberal!

This happened to me over a year ago front & rear, you just need to take care of it yourself! You don't need a new bumper, find a body shop and have it repainted. Finding a quality shop, ask your insurance company who they recommend.

Yeah I know a guy that does paint very well so I am going to just go through him. I already let him know and he will do it for $75 and a 12 pack lol, but I have to help sanding.

@03g35
Wow $150 per bumper is ultra cheap.

Yeah it is. But it's also quality work. I know of quiet of bit of hookups in East TN if anyone is around this area needing stuff done.

I am actually going to have them redo my rear bumper because it is just like yours is as well.
