Baking Headlight Question

So I have read countless DIY on headlight removal and disassembly but I cannot for the life of me find out how to appropriately apply pressure once the headlight is recooked and put together for final seal. When I did my 350 I did not get the seal correctly and I think it was because of this last step.

1. Cook headlight at 215 degrees for 12-15 minutes
2. Peel apart
3. Do whatever the hell you were going to do in the headlight
4. Reheat both parts of the headlight
5. put back together with pressure

How? I have seen vice grips used, placing heavy things on it etc....

What is the correct or most effective way of doing this step?

....Also any tips or tricks would be helpful for anyone who had done this and had good results.

I guess the clips and three screws will secure it with enough pressure to have the glue make a proper seal?

Try a ratcheting tow strap if you've got one.

The most common tool that I've seen used for great results are heavy duty clamps around the entire seal. Ratcheting strap isn't a bad idea, just be sure to position it in a way where it wont slide and loosen up during the wait time.

I've taken my lights apart literally 6 times now, and 215 wasn't near hot enough for me to disassemble or reassemble. I prefer 250 for around 4-5 minutes. Literally squeeze it back together with my hands (with gloves cause it's HAWT.)

put it back together as best you can then put it back in the oven together for a few mins and then the screws and the clips. i realized the second time around i didnt need clips or clamps to hold them together, the screws and clips did that perfectly fine while it cooled and hardened

I use alligator clips to hold mine together just after they come out of the oven. Then the screws apply a final hold. Highly recommend the lesser for longer method.... if you keep doing 250+ you may melt the lenses.
