Talking Acura Convert!

This past Saturday I put a non-refundable deposit down on my new '05 DG/Stone coupe loaded except spoiler(prefer the clean look, but spoiler makes it a little more sporty in my opinion). Man the way that Navi just pops up when you turn the car on is tight to death. My only issue is having to break my neck to reach that darn seat belt, whats up with that? It is coming from port so it will be here in 22 days, damn it feels like Hanakah is here. I am selling my '04 Acura TSX to a family member and finally getting my dream car, it feels good. And the best part about it is when i go up to Atlanta to get it Im paying the sucker off.
You guys have been such a help in giving me the heads up about the G35, I have probably stupid question, What speed should I keep the car at driving home from the ATL, to not hurt anything? Will post pics when I have her, promise!

So, the navigation screen deploys and retracts automatically in the 05's? I have a 04 that uses a push button to deploy and then you just push the top to conceal.

I wouldn't worry about speed too much. Just watch the rpms and vary the speed and rpms a little if you are going to be travelling on the highway for an extended period of time.

Congrats on the purchase! You are going to love driving this car

Like spendgy said, watch the RPM's, not the speed.

I knew '05's have motorized Navi screen but I didn't know they pops up automatically when the car starts. That IS tight to death!
The only thing I'd worry about is wearing out the motor, but I guess that's what extended warrentys are for.

Just be careful. The car is a rocketship compared to the TSX. Don't go over 4k, vary your rpms, and be gentle...at least for the first 1200 miles.

Yes, the first thing that got my attention when I turned the car on is the screen came up out of no where. I didn't touch a thing. Of course then you can push the button on the top to close, or it will close by itself when you turn the car off. That was definitely "tight to death"
Now im going to be nervous driving back from Atlanta, so i will go 45mph.
Anyone else purchase their car from a dealership in Atlanta?

Oh and about the TSX issue, it is definitely a girly car when it comes to any type of power. Thank God im getting a mans car now. The navi on the TSX is pretty sweet, but other than that, nothin'. Oh I forgot to mention this car is "Tight To Death"

The navi only goes up and down automatically if it was left up previously while the car is on. But if you make it go down while the car is on, it will stay down and wont come back up till you manually push the button again while the car is on. There is no way, however, to make it stay up while there is no key in the ignition as the 03s do.

Congrats...! Yeah, take care of it for the first 1500. Don't forget that first oil change too at 1500. I was nice to my baby and got the early oil change and now she seems to be running a lot smoother (almost seems faster too).

Vary the speed don't keep it at any constant speed for any length of time. I would keep the rpms under 3K. Even if you are on the highway for a long period of time just slow down 5mph for a few minutes then speed back up to to the speed limit and then maybe 5mph over for a bit. New engines need to break in and holding a constant speed/rpm is not a good way to break in a new motor.
Good luck with your G I am sure you will love it just like we all do.

They are lying to you.......your deposit can not be non-refundable until you actually take delivery on the car, its against the law. Mellinium (sp?) tried to tell me the same thing when i put my deposit down, but 1 month later i got it back.

No Offesense but your dream car is a G35. DOnt you have higher aspirations then a 35k car.
