Help Needed

So, my '04 6MT Coupe flooded.

I believe my insurance company is lowballing me, but I'm having trouble proving to them that the base model and the 6MT sport model with Brembos can't be compared due to rarity.

Does anyone with a 6-speed coupe and Brembo brakes still have the original window sticker that they can send me a picture of so I can see how the options were worded???

Thank you!
Ben

Since the brembo's weren't technically an option but part of the 6MT package (which was the actual option) you won't see an increase simply because of them. How much is the insurance offering, if it's feasible you might consider a buyback and parting out the vehicle. If you're patient it almost ALWAYS makes more money than the insurance totaled vehicle settlement.

How much are they offering for the vehicle?

They are offering $7,450. It has everything except Navigation with 103,500 miles in good condition. Louisiana doesn't allow flooded cars to be bought back. Insurance is required to take them and part them out.

I didn't realize that the Brembos were part of the 6MT package. I would have sworn that I've seen other '04 6MTs without the Brembos.

It's a fair price for private sales, unfortunately the indexes they use is an average of prices. Some might sell for 10k, some might sell for 5k, even though they are the EXACT same condition/options/etc. This makes the price $7500 according to the insurance adjuster.

Thanks. We aren't far apart. I was looking for $8,000, so it's not worth too much time and energy to try to move them $500.

See if there's anything else they can pitch in to sweeten the offer like a short-term discount for your monthly rate, coupons for local services, heck even hats and stickers. You would be SHOCKED at how much free stuff you can get from businesses, I have a habit of always asking what kind of deals/bonuses/rebates/promotional merchandise people are offering lol.
