12V power after the ignition is off
Hi guys,
I am trying to hook up my Dashcam to a 12v power after I shut off my g35 so that it will continue to record. Does anyone know where I can tap into a 12v source inside the cabin after shutting off the engine? I assume there might be power at the steering column?
TIA!

The proper way to do this is to add an adjustable timer-off delay relay circuit from the battery and use one of the ignition-on power circuits from the vehicle as the trigger to start the delay. Here's an example of what you would need.
Black to ground
Red use a 5amp inline fuse and run it to the battery (bolt to the extra post on the IPDM or something)
Blue to some 12v ignition on signal using a fuse tap or something
Yellow to power the camera
Individually cap off white and green, you won't use it.
Obviously this would only work if your camera draws less than 5 amps.
