Turbo Oil Drain Pain - Low mount turbos

I'm currently running the APS single turbo on my car with a wheldon scavenger pump but it seems like the pump is running dry from time to time. Has any one found an oil "catch can" essentially that will attach to the bottom of the turbo and create a small reservoir for the pump to draw from? The turbo is essentially a TD04 BB turbo. I cant seem to find anyone that makes one and id rather not custom fabricate one if at all possible.

Car set up -
2003 coupe MT
APS single Turbo
Vinny ten VQ

You will probably just have to make a gravity feed can with a breather to balance vacuum, I've never seen a kit made specifically for this application, they're usually universal.

You can install a flow indicator and pump indicator light to verify it's not running dry.

Just to verify, you do have an oil pan spacer installed yes?

I have the APS Oil pan installed that came with the kit. lower point than the stock pan with returns built into it.

Ok I just looked up this single turbo kit and I'm not sure you CAN get a gravity feed can to work without removing the protective shroud from that kit which I wouldn't recommend for a daily driver, the turbo already sits REALLY low.

EDIT: Check out this thread, you're doing to need to fab something like this given the minimal amount of space you have to work with.

Thank you very much its appreciated , Ya there is not a lot of clearance with the kit. The car is my weekend warrior but im working towards it being more track ready and want to eliminate potential problems.

If the pump were running dry with the motor on if would mean there is no oil being supplied to the turbo which would be a serious problem. If your concern is due to occasional noise from the pump it could be because the pump runs at a constant speed capable of moving the relatively large amount of oil passed at high rpm. At low rpm there may not be enough oil volume dropping out of the bearing housing to 100% support the pump and some air is being drawn through it.
You should not need an oil reservoir for the purpose of supplying oil to the pump. The usual reason for a reservoir is when the motor has enough oil drain down when shut off to fill the bearing housing up to the shaft bearing at which point oil will seep into the turbine housing.
The pump manufacture would know if there is any cause for concern.
