My 2004 G35 Coupe (auto) engine recently went out, so now time for a new one. I found a VQ35DE at a local shop for $1500, 60k miles. I was wondering if there was any other engines I could put in that would be better with little to no fabrications.

Nope, any motor swaps are big expensive projects with custom brackets and a transmission to work with the new engine.

 

To say nothing of the electrical work with harnesses, ecus, ipdms et. al. into Infiniti. (Did you see what I just did there?)

 

and beyond!!!

Ya these guys nailed it unless you wanna turn it into a project car but LS or 2J swaps are going to run you easy over 10K once your all said and done. unless your planning on doing something crazy just stick with your VQ.
