1st gen G is an amazing car. I am building a complete custom chop top version and the car has never stop running, never lite off a light on the dash and never malfunctioned even when i drove it around the block while complete torn down.

meaning i have removed or disconnected the radio, center console, carpets, air bags, roof curtains, airbag control box, both stock front seats, complete rear seats and panels, carpet, tail lights, amp thing, removed gas filler housing and line, all grnd bolts from the driver seats back, doors are off at the hinges.

Then i broke the windows out, cut the roof and lowered it 8", cut A & B pillars out tubbed out the rear to fit 12.5"wide rim setup.

reaming just the dash and aftermarket race seat bolted to the floor - this thing run and drive great!! alot of fun with 500lbs +/- shaved off. hard to believe not even a light on the dash. Just goes to show how much of these are just stuff and not really important. . . NOW on to the rebuild!!!

hopefully everything works when put back together - that would be Ironic


**► looking to buy Driver & Passenger upper window weather molding. Any help/ ideas how to replace would be appreciated. It the underside part that the driver/ pass side windows seal up to. . . it rides on a l shape tracks along the upper roof soffit.
I went to my local infinity dealer and they said $520 + tax oooooch!!! . . . . for 6' of rubber - absolute ridiculous price.

 

Rear doors and windshield are totally optional. Can't wait for pics!
