Whats It Worth 2005

I am looking to possibly sell my 2005 G35 coupe with the manual 6 speed. Car has navigation and is all stock with the sport tuned suspension option. I am the original owner and the car has a clear history and the car has 53K on it. I am looking just to gauge general value so I can possibly set a price.

Full options with full service record on a low miles coupe like that would fetch $10-13k in my area but it would take nearly the entire summer to sell probably if you wanted to fetch a high price.

Post it now and mark it high for your area since it likely won't sell until summer (it's a summer sports car afterall) but you might get a few early hits.

It's almost impossible to judge how much the car will actually sell for because at the end of the day it's still a 12 year old car regardless of mileage.

Maybe I will see what Carmax has to offer on it. Then list it if I dont like the price.

Carmax is super lowball, they're almost as bad as trading in to a dealership. I'd be shocked if they offered $5k, dealership will probably offer $3500 but there's no harm in getting a quote.

Carmax is nice though if you need to sell the vehicle NOW, I recently used them to offload a vehicle after my Aunt died out of state and I didn't have time to deal with putting it up for sale privately.

Depends on where you live, I live in the bay area and the clean ones with sub 120k mikes are still in the 8-12k range. At your mileage you could probably get 12k if you held out for it

That's low miles! If you can afford to take the time to sell it private party, I would bet you would get 10K+ depending on the buyer. IMO service records add a lot of value, but that's just what I look for when I'm looking to buy used.

Guess I know where I'm buying a G if mine dies. 6MT with that mileage back in VA were easy 10K+!

Check nada and kbb, price it somewhere in that range. These aren't collectors cars, it's just business, so don't get your feelings hurt if the value isn't what you think it is.

As a comparison you can get a loaded 08 G37 6MT in the $12-16k range. Your 05 is realistically in the $7k-9,999 range.
