"OnStar" on a non-GM car?

"OnStar" on a non-GM car?
Can we get anything similar to OnStar put on out G's like GM has in most of its cars? I am about to move 5 hours away for college and thought it would be quite handy if the car got stolen, or I locked my keys in it.
Just wondering if there is anything aftermarket out there; otherwise I'll just invest in a really good alarm system.

So, you take the best parts of a cell phone and a GPS nav unit. Throw those bits out. And pay a monthly service fee for what's left over? Crap, wish I had been the first to believe anyone would buy that.

GM has been licensing On-Star to a lot of companies, like Acura, Audi, etc.
