ABS activating when Turning (wheels lock up) PLEASE READ
So basically I got an alignment at Canadian Tire and they broke my clockspring. Got a new one and installed it. When I did, the car would activate ABS when turning (sometimes) and lock up the front tires.
Brought it into the dealership and they reset the steering angle sensor, still had the issue. They said it was the yaw sensor, so I replaced that and it's still happening.
They checked all the wheel sensors and they're reading correctly. Now the thing that perplexes them and me is that the Steering Angle Sensor is reading 0° no matter what direction you turn the wheel. So they replaced the sensor free of charge and the problem still exists.
They've narrowed it down to the ABS actuator, but before I pull the trigger, I wanted to ask ya'll opinions.
Things done to the car leading up to the issue: front auspesusus all changed, new steering rack, control arms, alignment done at Canadian Tire (no problem after it broke), replaced the clockspring and the problem started happening. Car worked fine before.
Thoughts? The car isn't throwing codes up for the clockspring or sensors, but could it possibly be a faulty Clockspring that's not sending info to the sensor correctly?
Thanks!!

Could be either item honestly. However if steering angle is locked at 0 degrees and a new one didn't fix the issue then it's probably a faulty clockspring.

Is there a test I can do that can verify that the clockspring is bad? Also there's two parts to the clockspring, the sensor and the actual part. The replacement one I bought didn't have the sensor attached so my mechanic attached the old one to it.
Any ideas?

Also, when I got the new clockspring installed, the airbag light turned off and all steering wheel controls started working again. So I'm not sure it's that, but will have the tech look at it.

Yes the clockspring would restore function from buttons/horn/airbag not working. The steering angle sensor bolts over the top of it and it's signal is routed THROUGH the clockspring as well. I thought the steering angle sensor had been replaced? If it's the same one then it could definitely be bad. I don't think the data can be tested with a standard OBD2 scanner, possibly with Nissan Datascan II (not the android version).

Okay, so I got the new VDC module installed as per the shop Foreman's recommendation, still having the issue. I told him to change out the Clockspring, still having the issue. He tells me that there's no data being sent at all, even though there's power and stuff in the wires.
Any thoughts??? I'm at my wits ends

Actually it wasn't that. It was a pinched/corroded wire in the dash harness. They soldered on a new wire and it's good now. Didn't even charge me anything, which is a huge plus in my book for that dealership.
Folks, of all else fails, check your harness for bad wires.

Well yeah they didn't follow the troubleshooting steps in the FSM and wrongly had you replace the yaw sensor and then told you it was the VDC module so they better fix the issue for free
