I'm sure there is somewhere on this form that answers this question but I can't find it! I have a 2006 g35 coupe with the sport package (could tell from the sticking on the steering wheel & heated seats) and I was wondering if they have the halogen headlights or HID"s. I might sound like a complete idiot but I want to install https://www.carid.com/2006-infiniti-...parentsubmodel[]=SUBMODEL|Coupe these headlights and I dont know if it will work with my car because you cant have Factory Halogen headlights so can someone please help me!!!!

If you have an 06 coupe you have factory projectors. Please don't downgrade to these aftermarket ones. oem G35 projectors are sought after by Headlight retrofitters.

Yeah, you have the best OEM headlights available. If they're yellowing and you just want them to look new, then restore them (or have them restored). Those carid ones are reflectors and super garbag-y. OEM reflectors would be a better choice than the carid ones.

As you already know the purpose of headlights is to able to see when it gets dark, your '06 headlights are the very best at doing that! If the lenses are discolored have a body shop polish and clear coat them for the best results or buy a kit and DIY!
Good Luck & Enjoy the Ride...Gary

I have an 07 black coupe. Someone on a g35 site on facebook posted that he had his OEM ones professionally painted black and smoked by a shop. They were completely black, same shade as the black paint. Im wondering if anyone knows what types of shops generally do this type of work? Do regular paint shops do this, or would you need to find a custom shop to perform this type of work? I want to keep my OEM headlights and tail lights, but I want them blacked out to match the car's paint. I know you can tint them too, but the tint a lot of times adds a minimal darkness. I also want to keep how well the lights will light up at night and not take away from their performance.

Any suggestions for a newbie?

eBay, then retrofit some projectors yourself.
