Radiator Removal Problem (03)

So I recently experienced a leak on my oem radiator on the upper plastic area. I bought a new radiator off of eBay but when going to install it I noticed there were ac lines welded and connected to the oem radiator itself. I was wondering if anyone can help me out whether I could still change the radiator or have to take it to the dealership or any car service place to get it fixed. Thank you.

If you have an early 2003 sedan that uses a MECHANICALLY DRIVEN FAN you need a different style of radiator I think, if you have the DUAL ELECTRIC FANS the radiator should be the same from 2003-2007. I think the early model sedans used a radiator that had the AC condensor integrated into it and both were replaced as a single unit.

Take some pictures of what exactly you have and post them.

I totally forgot to mention that the radiator is for a Coupe. Here are the pictures as well.

That isn't attached to the radiator, it's soldered to the side of the AC condenser that sits directly in front of the radiator, the condenser actually sits on the front lip of the radiator and you need to lift it out of the way just a touch to get the radiator out. I'd recommend taking the grille off since it takes about 10 seconds then you can easily see what you're doing.

If you've never taken the grill off look up a video or DIY, the only hard part is the flat head attachments in the top corners, they are shaped like a DIAMOND and you turn them 45 degrees so they fit into the SQUARE hole and it pops right out.

The condenser is bolted to the radiator and if you just unbolt that AC line you can move it to the side a little bit.
