New Engine! Need Help!

Hey guys I just put a 2005 engine in my 2004 coupe. It is a automatic and has 180,000km on car an 140,000km on engine. After I put the engine in car won’t start but cranks, it’s not getting spark, throttte valve isn’t opening, almost like something to do with the wiring harness but it is plugged in and everything looks good, I scanned it on my computer and all the major codes that came up are
p0113
p2122
p2138
p0223
p0123
if anyone has any idea please let me know ASAP

I have an idea. Research the codes.

Also, if the only thing different is the actual engine (I'm assuming you swapped over all your old sensors/etc for first start) the only thing it could possibly be is your connections or the engine having some horrible problem. Google

MAF sensor isn't plugged in or isn't being read by ECM.

TP sensor isn't plugged in or isn't being read by ECM. (that's the gas pedal and the TB, 3 separate codes).

My guess is you either have a failed TB, a failed gas pedal APP switch, or damaged the harness when plugging in the TB. Possibly pinched a wire badly and damaged it when putting the motor in.

awhile back when my car first broke down me and a buddy went to jump start it and he put the cables on backwards, could that of messed up my ecu? Is that the reason? Or since I now have the rev up engine will I need to purchase a new ecu to match the engine?

Is he still your buddy?
Buddy's like that are dangerous.
Why was the engine replaced after a jump start?
Most likely many of your sensors, electronics ,BCM, ECM may have been destroyed?
As others have advised you research each of the codes and follow the troubleshooting steps in the EC section in the FSM.

Yeah putting the wrong engine in your car will definitely cause all sorts of issues, the pins on the ECU aren't even the same so who knows what those wires are going to.

You definitely need to research what you're doing.

Yes crossing polarity on the battery can fry every computer in the car.

I would start by removing the engine, tear it down to the short block and put the original heads back on the newer motor so you're not having issues by trying to shoehorn a rev-up on to a non-revup ECU.

Yeah for some reason I thought you were doing an ECM swap as well, since you're NOT the pin layout would be fine and wouldn't cause an issue. Not sure why leaving it unplugged overnight made any difference whatsoever other than the harness may have a problem that was corrected by simply unplugging and plugging it back in. If you end up with other similar issues in the future I would start by inspecting the ECM harness for problems.
