delivery time info?

hi guys,
was wondering if i ordered the car on wednesday this week, when would i actually get it?

I'm sorry, you're confusing us with the dealership from which you ordered your car. Call your salesman, he should give you a good estimate of when you can expect your car's arrival.

no im not, i was wondering about an estimate but i guess there is no way to estimate it either

Yes there is dude. Your dealership should be able to tell you. Whatever time they tell you, just add another month to that, and that should be pretty accurate.

I ordered mine 1/12/2005 and my delivery date is 4/21/2005. Others on the forums seem to have about the same 100-day time-lag from ordering to arrival date.

Helpful. I don't think any of us are confused about your contribution.

My wife ordered her 05 CPE 6MT here in the DC area some 5½ weeks ago. (1/27/05) We were told 2-3 months. The Port of Entry will be nearby - just outside Baltimore, MD. Just one data point for you, Player

do you think automatic will be delivered faster? is there more demand for automatic or manual

I really don't know. The first of the CPE 6MT's showed up in January, if I recall correctly. The delays on 6MT's ordered before that time should not be compared to delays that will be incurred after they were in production. My wife ordered hers on January 27th - just a few days after we could view one in the lots locally.

I suspect that there is no way at this time to know what the future delay will be for an 5AT vs a 6MT

I suspect the delays for the two cars will be essentially the same. However, in that I gather that the AT is the more popular car, it may well be easier to find the AT of one's dreams on the lot - or on a lot near you.

It would be interesting toi hear if anyone ordered a 5AT around January 27th - compare delivery delay in March/April - I hope.

I think my contribution was just fine and dandy, I pointed him in the right direction. You can't possibly give him accurate information because his question depends on the dealership, his location, the amount of incoming cars, and many other variables, and ultimately only the dealership from which you order can give you the most accurate information. I apologize for not being able to predict the future...it truly is a skill that all of us should have.
