Navigation update DVD
Just thought I would check with the forum prior dropping an order -
I want to update my NAV with the last release, my 2003 coupe came with 6.10 and I see 6.3XX on ebay is the last update. YES, I intend on using my NAV just for fun or show - I don't care, I like it!!!!
My question is if anyone has any hacks to a more modern release? Are their any other updates options to the stock unit? Finally, has anyone else updated their setup, what was your experience?
Before the flaming begins, my kid loves it and for another $25 - on ebay I am ok with expense.
Thanks - Andy

Are you sure 6.3x is going to work for your car? The site for the updates lists 6.11 as the latest for '03, which is what I bought for my '04 a few years ago. Moving from 6.10 to 6.11 is a complete waste of money in my opinion, even if you're just "using it for show". It'll update the maps and POI, but makes no updates to the interface/menu screens. Obviously Waze or Google Maps is far superior these days.

Map updates are just that, map (ie new roads) and POIs. I've never seen a map update change the user interface.
I updated the disk in mine in 2012 (because my neighborhood was a field in 2006) and haven't bothered since. Plus my DVD drive failed sometime last year. Waze has been much better to use anyway after I got a good car mount.
