best 3 series against the coupe?

 

costs about $10k more and is way slower... oh and the G looks much better!!!

 

unless it's a M3, i don't think the 3 series can take a coupe. Of course i am talking about auto vs auto, or 6 speed vs 6 speed.

 

auto v/s 6 speed ... i have a 2004 Coupe Fully loaded 5AT .. and i raced a 330CI and i took it off the line ...soo we are way faster regardless of auto or 6 speed ... offcoursie i was using the manumatic mode

 

Don't under estimate the 330's! A ZHP 330 manual is really close to the 6mt coupe! The G has a bit of an advantage up top, but to 60 and 1/4 mile, you mess up one little bit and the BMW does'nt, your history! I have a 330 step and it is no slouch, but mine is not a ZHP, they are a bit faster and the manual 330 is no laughing matter!

Conclusion: They are REAL close on the street, but I think the G would have an advantage on a road course!

 

Yea BMW 3 series with sport package can be a danger but I know for sure G's can beat 3 series for sure.. But G cannot beat M3 =(

 

Not this topic again...Please run a search, I'm not trying to be an *** its just that this topic has been discusssed 1,000,000,000 times before...You'll find all the info your looking for, trust me...O by the way the G rocks out over the 3 series...

 

Welll funny...tonight on the turnpike, 328 vs 6mt...the passenger in the 3 counted down from 3 with his fingers....and we let it go...tried twice....both the G pulled away easily...but then again only a 328....330 would be more fun...especially the 330 with the performance package...that would be much closer.....

 

It'd be interesting to see the new 330 against the G. Perhaps even with performance package if they even have it.

I've also read on the net that BMW will deploy a 330t, which fills in the gap between 330 and m3. Since the new m3 will have 400+hp, the 330t will be a nice addition to their 3-series line-up.
