The question is too vague to answer.
"Have you ever bought a car from a dealership before, how long did it last"
What make?
What model?
What year, new or used?
You could have purchased Nissan Genuine Parts OEM clutch and flywheel.
You could have purchased literally any performance manufacturer.
You could have purchased Chinese garbage.
What EXACTLY are you thinking of buying, a link would he very helpful, eBay is just a middleman.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
If it were me I'd head over to Rockauto and check out their parts, I'm not a fan of ebay internals like a clutch unless you can verify authenticity of said parts and manufacturers. There are too many counterfeit parts on there to take a chance. It would suck if you spent a ton of money on parts and labor for a knock off part that fails at a critical time.

Ebay clutches are great for drift pigs and the like when you're going going to be beating on the car and don't care about longevity or street ability.
I'm running a generic China 19 lb steel single mass with an exedy/z1 oem replacent, had fly/pp machine balanced as a unit before installing.
Didn't save much $$ after balancing but 100 percent sure there won't be vibration or long term wear issues.
