04 g35x cam pos sensor p0345
I have a p0345 sensor A, got the sensor out and wondering where to get it from. I found one recommended on YouTube, from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/MUCO-Camshaft.../dp/B078Z4VK61 wondering if this is a good one or not.

I believe the new design has metal cover for the end that goes into the engine. I purchased a genuine Nissan sensor and looked different than the one I pulled out. Upon doing some research, I found out that the newer version has a metal sheath at the end. Hope it lasts longer than the plastic one.

It probably will, the plastic seam eventually starts to fail and engine oil gets into the sensor and it goes to crap. The metal shrouded ones will probably never fail like THAT. The original OEM plastic sensor is good for 100k+ miles and costs about 25% what the new revision one costs so it's still a great option for replacents.
Ok so I have replaced the cam shaft sensor and I am still getting the same code and engine light turns on after I start it up the third time. I also left the battery terminal unplugged for 24 hours, and tried clearing the code with a code reader and the CEL still comes on. The guyI bought it from said when the stereo was put in he fried the computer. So since the sensor didnt fix it what is the next step?
Yes, got the drivers side cam sensor from Hitachi on Rockauto.
I bought this car knowing it could be the computer thats bad. The problem occurred after the previous owner took it to get a new stereo put in, came back with a CEL light, the previous owner already bout 2 new Subarus for him and his wife as daily drivers. (We live in a flat dessert so a Subaru would of been a questionable choice for me personally lol)
I also tried clearing the code with a obd scanner, and leaving the battery unplugged for over 24hrs. CEL always comes on at the third start. Car idles at 720-750. Is there a easy test for the computer? What could of gone wrong when putting in a stereo? Someone told me it could be an ecm ground but I couldnt find it.

ECM ground is almost directly behind and above the stereo, once you have the faceplate removed there will be a large green bolt with a single wire landed on it.
I definitely recommend you do this with the battery unplugged, take the bolt off, wire brush to clean it and the lug up, apply electrical anti-oxidation grease, bolt it back on. If there is anything else landed on it like a supplementary ground for the stereo then remove it, could be something wrong with the stereo that's screwing up the ground for the ECM.
