2004 G35 Navigation System error messages
2004 G35 Navigation System error messages
I've searched everywhere for help with my question and can not find an answer anywhere. I'm getting ready to purchase a 2004 G35. The seller has informed me that the Navigation system is providing error warning messages. Low fuel when he just filled it up, door ajar when none are, messages about airbag errors, etc etc. He has informed me that the warning messages are only coming from the Navigation System and not from the instrument cluster. Do you think this is something I should be concerned about (electrical problems) or is just a bad/broke navigation system? Thank you very much for your help on this and I'm looking forward to being part of this forum!!!

I don't believe the problem is from the navigation system.?
If I were you I would not purchase that vehicle unless the seller allowed you to have a thorough inspection by an Infiniti dealer to confirm that the vehicle has never been involved in a flood.and gives you a service history. A sixteen year old vehicle will have many parts at or near their end of life causing you to pour lots of money into that vehicle.
As for Navigation, Waze on your phone is much better as is Google Maps
Good luck

I think it's a broken nav sys. As long as the instrument cluster is good. But I've never heard of this problem. I'd check to see if they are able to disable the reminders and maintenance messages first. Maybe disconnect the battery for a couple hours and see what happens.
