Non uprev motor in a 2006 6/mt g35 coupe?

My 06 g35 blew up and i was wondering if i could put an earlier year vq in instead of a revup because the earlier year motors are easier to find and cheaper in my area. Would i have any problems buying an earlier year long block and swapping parts over or do i need to find an uprev block?

Long block was BASICALLY the same, rods were different, oil pump is different (use the rev-up oil pump it's better), the baffle in the oil pan is different (doesn't really matter).

The cast engine block itself was exactly the same though and you can definitely just buy a new long block and swap everything over, rev-up oil pump is designed for the extra 500 rpm the revup is capable of. Unless you have forced induction the rev-up rods won't matter.
