I shouldnt mention this but SEM paints! hahaa... I just painted my window Cowl with black trim, did the whole battery plastic pieces while I had the cowl off the car. Minus well. Next up is resrpraying the inside of the car. Got the black SCOOSCHE double din kit but the black made the car to dark inside. So I got some Titanium Metallic for the center pieces. Just the little bit I sprayed looks freaking hot! And off the assembly line amazing. That paint is so easy to work with. It lays perfectly flat. Anyway, that cup holder you have in your hand is to be painted black so it looks like new. Throw on 2 or 3 coats of SEM and a couple coats of clear coat and it will look like the day you pulled out of the showroom. Can't wait to get it all done.
I didn't see any pictures with the battery installed but always make sure to use a sealed battery on these vehicles, the cabin air filter is right next to the battery and you do NOT want to be potentially sucking acid vapor into your heater core, it will definitely cause issues later in life.
You win sir...you win. Nothing like the internet to make you paranoid about problems you may never have. I got an AGM battery, nice and sealed so no vaping for me.
I decided to weigh the batteries since they were out of the car anyway, surprisingly the AGM is heavier. I thought they are supposed to be lighter. Perhaps it was not a fair comparison, the flooded battery is a 36 month and the AGM is a 48 month so the flooded may have less "battery" in it. I would be curious to see how much a flooded 48 month battery weighs. All this safety is offsetting the precious weight reduction I did when I removed the loose screws and leaves in the bay.
Decided to do some more cleaning.
Have you guys ever looked in the abyss? I have bled trying to retrieve dropped items from that place and I just gave up on some so I knew there were some treasures to be discovered there. This time, I unbolted the seats so I can have full access to this mysterious place to see what lives there. I appears that one of my passengers lost some floss, because I sure as hell wasn't flossin n drivin. A nice scrub with lots of rubbing alcohol and got the stains out as well. The passenger side was actually in a pretty good shape. Another place that now looks great, and no one will ever know.
Lots of change from back in the day when tangible money was still a thing. Precious weight reduction at its finest here. Using my kid's sand bucket to prop up the seat like a true professional.
Nice and clean

I lost a baby carrot between my seat and the console and I'd rather replace engine component than pull another carrot out of the abyss. I know your pain.
In this car, I never removed the seats. I can only imagine what is under there over the almost last 13 1/2 years. Maybe in the spring I will pull them. Actually I want to get the seat tear fixed so I am sure I will have the seats up at some point. Man, the memories I will probably find under there. Old beach cards, receipts or something I am sure. Maybe even a drivers license and whatever the many passengers may of dropped.
