PO335 Crankshft postion sensor code but "SLIP" and VDO lights on, Correlation?

Everything was working great on the coupe until yesterday when it would struggle to start. Once it started the CEL came on and VDO off and "SLIP" is on the speedometer cluster. When I put the scanner on it the code was PO335 Crankshaft position sensor circuit A. Does a sensor going bad cause those other modules to act up or is there something else going on? I was thinking that replacing the sensor would fix the other problems but maybe something else is afoot. The quicker someone can give me an idea would be appreciated as I scheduled a Friday appointment. You know that it could be simple but the shop will try to make its money.

Yes, a bad crank position sensor will trigger the VDC, Slip, and check engine light on these cars.

Replace the sensor ONLY with an OEM part. Everything will go back to normal.

Just replaced a cam sensor and had the same lights. Replace it only with a hitachi sensor or nissan brand if you need it the same day

SLIP and VDC lights being solid on just means that the VDC system has been disabled. When there a major engine malfunction it's automatically disabled.
