Hello, I bought a 2005 rev up g35 with rod knock, I’d like to do a 1j/2j swap. I’m sure this question has been asked plenary of times but how much does a simple stock swap like this run if the motor was completely stock and I just wanted a 2jz g35? My original plan was to just do a rev up swap and just sell it but since I do have a daily I wouldn’t mind building the g35. Thank you!

 

If your asking for cost then you might be better off doing an LS swap.

 

Usually it's about like this:

3000 used engine
1000 turbo
1500 wiring harness and ECU
2500 adapters for engine mounts, bellhousing, clutch, etc.

Then you have the cost of upgrading the 2JZGTE, typically this is just injectors, cams, tuning for a mild build but most people will do that and a single turbo+manifold+better boost controlling which is around $3500.

If you aren't doing the swap yourself the labor is going to add $10k onto that price tag.
