Did they ever make the '03 coupe with side molding?

When I bought the car the car came with side moulding. I bought it off of someone not new. Anyway one side of my car has the molding on the door and the fender and the other side of my car only has it on the fender.
I I have never seen a coupe with this side moving on is this normal? And if I go to take it off do you think it's I'm there with double-sided tape or do you think it goes right into the fender because I want to get it off.

Body side molding for the 03 & 04 G35 Coupe was a dealer installed option. It is safe to assume it was applied with a double faced adhesive tape. Best way to remove it is to apply some heat to soften the adhesive and place either thin fishing line or dental floss between the molding and the body and work it loose. Then use Googone to remove any adhesive residue from the painted surface.

Make sure to start with a freshly washed car and you will need to use a polisher to clean up the scuff marks after removing the adhesive.

I don't think I've ever seen side bumpers like that use anything other than double stick adhesive.

The paint underneath will probably not match the color of the car though since its never seen sunlight.

Shouldn't be too noticeable on a black car, it's actually the CLEAR COAT that changes color not the paint underneath. It yellows with age and can be very noticeable on silver/white cars, less so on blue/red/black.

Did you ask if it has ever been in an accident?

Would find it hard to believe that someone would remove the molding on the door and not the fender. Maybe a new door was installed
