G35 coupe

So i have a manual 2006 infiniti g35 coupe and I was wondering if it’s normal for the car to have a high engagement point? Tried putting it in reverse and moving the car but the car doesn’t start moving until I’m close to the top. I’ve driven manual before and thought it just might be that the clutch is starting to get worn out but I’ve heard it’s normal for a high grabbing point, don’t know if it’s true though.

Yes, this is normal. There are a variety of solutions, but any that have you adjust the pedal to "lower" it with the stock adjustment can result in your clutch not fully engaging, so be careful. There is an aftermarket pedal assembly i've always been interested in, but never felt like spending the cash: https://rjmperformance.com/350z-g35/

I heard about readjusting it but I’ve always been wary about it and I’ve spent a decent amount into the car, kind of don’t want to spend more on an assembly. Any other options you suggest?

Sadly, no. I think its better to get used to the on/off nature of our cars rather than make any adjustments to the stock parts. If you try for a while and it still drives you crazy, then maybe you'll be motivated enough to spend the $ on that clutch pedal.

You're not alone in thinking the clutch feel sucks, but I don't think anyone is happy long term with any solution that only uses stock parts.
