I live in California and recently purchased a 2007 G35 6MT coupe. I've been searching for aftermarket parts online to purchase and most of the parts I find say for 03 through 06 and do not say they are compatible with 07 models. For example:

Why are all these parts compatible for 03 through 06 but not 07? Aren't 06 and 07 coupes virtually the same? Why aren't these products CARB legal for 07?

 

2003-2006 Sedans and Coupes all have the VQ35DE + RevUp, which have a single intake/throttle body.
2007+ Sedans (and 350z) received the VQ35HR engine, which has dual intakes. The 2007 Coupe still retained the VQ35DE + RevUp that have a single intake on the drivers side. Any intake listed for the 2003-2006 should fit your 2007 coupe. I think some of the aftermarket manufacturers skim over these details...
That K&N intake you have linked is garbage IMO. Its a 'hot air' intake, so you can lose performance by switching to that.
IMO you have an '07 Coupe 6MT with a RevUp, therefore your OEM intake is already pretty good from the factory. It draws air from outside the engine bay, which is favorable!!!
I'm running the RevUp intake box on my 2004, but with the Stillen Z-tube + Z1 silicone couplers. The Z-tube comes with a CARB EO sticker, so no need to worry about smog inspections. The Z-tube will add some nice intake noise if that's what you're looking for (and makes changing the air filter much easier)
