Aftermarket Headlights

Hey guys and gals,
Looking towards replacing my headlights with something that has a black background...I was looking at the Spec-DŽ - Black Sequential LED DRL Bar Projector Headlights more details on - Spec-DŽ - Black Sequential LED DRL Bar Projector Headlights
I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with these Spec D lights. I purchased similar lights for my 02 Dakota and they fit terribly,. Just wondering what other options are out there and what everyone's experience with them is.
thanks in advance.

FYI I have an 06 Coupe!

I'll be the one to say you're making a terrible mistake. The 2006 coupe projectors are some of the best OEM headlights ever put on a car.

Why don't you just bake / disassemble your headlights and paint the ones you have?

I think think the D Spec would be cool! projection is near quality of OEM only thing I'd do if you op'd for D spec is resealing or using rtv to make sure you wont get condensation inside and redo their "uv coating" and sand them down with fine grit sandpaper and re clearing them with actual auto clear coat, or at the least a rattle 2k clear, the ones where you break a seal to mix and pray with that!

Seconded - 2k clear has lasted me a very long time (with stock projectors) without discoloration. If you don't want to buy the different sandpaper grits, get the 3M headlight kit + a good 2k clear.

for those of you that have installed the Spec D headlights in their G35 coupes, how did you find the fitment? Were the gaps decent and the alignment good? I installed a set of spec D headlights in a dodge Dakota track and they fit like ****, even a body shop had a tough time getting them line up properly.

So the Spec D headlights are that bad?? I was considering a pair since they're relatively inexpensive for a new pair of lights, but if I have to put that much work into it I'll just get the 06-07 OEM ones. My first gen ones are still holding up after I did the 3M+UV clearcoat refinishing several years ago, but I'd like to get projectors.
