If you're talking about the ECM harness it's pretty self explanatory because the harness has a different configuration of wires on each side. There's always some kind of identifying tab, empty block, or something to tell which side of the harness is which when you compare the harness to the picture in the FSM.

It's either side, that's not how electrical harnesses work. Look at this picture again, there are easily distinguishable markers to tell whether you are looking at the pin or connector side. Look which end of the harness has that block of 8 wires on the end pins 114-121 (not the other side which only has 5 wires) then pick the row next to pin 119, second row from the bottom/top depending on the orientation of your harness. Now count back 5 pins, that's 101 on the ECM harness.
