Oil analysis of recent purchase

Hello guys

I recently purchased a stock 2005 G35 coupe with 109,600 miles. I immediately changed the oil and sent the oil I bought it with to be analyzed by Blackstone labs. The results were a little unsettling but I thought I would share them here and get your guys opinions on how I should proceed.

Thanks In advance.

First things first never send in oil unless your are 100% sure of how many miles were on it. With the tendency of the VQ35DE to consume oil it can take a LOT more than 4000 miles for it to look dark. You may have had 10k miles on that oil in which case it would be "normal" for conventional oil to be carrying a lot of particulates at that long of an interval.

Drive it, check your oil level weekly until you have a feel for how much it consumes, change the plugs and air filter, send in another GOOD sample with exact mileage when you do your next oil change.
