Hello, I recently just bought a 2003 G35 coupe. When I got under the car I found a random chewed up wire hanging from the back side of the transmission, when I got under the car to take a look it appears to be a ground wire, I’ve been trying to find information on where this ground wire goes to and so far have had no luck. Any help is appreciated thanks.
There's a lot of random bonding jumpers on the car, the primary transmission ground is actually located on the timing chain cover top middle, there are two wires landed on the cover, one is the tranny ground.
What you posted looks like a transmission housing bonding jumper, if it's damaged just cut it back, splice on more wire and a new lug and re-land it. Not too difficult.
Make sure it's a soldered connection though, simple crimp butt splice won't suffice.

Do you know the location of where I should mount the damaged side of the bonding jumper? one side is mounted on the side of the transmission (as seen in the photo) and the side that is damaged and missing is currently hanging down on the floor. Any idea where I should remount the damaged side once I fix the wire? Once again thanks!
Just look for ANY smaller bolt on the chassis, the whole car uses an equipotential bonding grid across the entire chassis. Literally all the chassis metal IS the ground for the car, there are probably 50 or more ground wires landed all over the chassis just try to find something close that the wire will reach.
I couldn't find in the FSM exactly where that wire was supposed to land.
If you can't find something that the wire will reach it's really not the end of the world if you cut that wire so it's not hanging and just leave it, it's mated to the engine and the bellhousing bolts are good enough to bond all that metal together.
Nissan went SEVERELY overkill on bonding individual components like that.
